As part of its commitment to protect the public interest and continually raise the standards its members work to, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has launched the Valuer Registration Scheme in the UK.

The scheme will assure the quality of valuations - the key component underpinning most economic activity - raise the credibility of valuers and provide clients with a clearly identifiable designation for the best regulated and qualified professionals in the field. The scheme reinforces professional standards and raises consumer confidence in the delivery of valuation advice to the highest professional standard. Stanhope Property Consultancy is part of an approved register of valuers working under RICS regulation and a system of regulatory monitoring.

The company offers advice on the sale and acquisition of office, industrial and retail premises both on a freehold and leasehold basis, in addition to marketing advice and development appraisal and consultancy.

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
Stanhope Property Consultancy manages a broad range of commercial property both locally and extending to North Yorkshire and Scotland. This service includes the issue of rent demands and rent collection along with inspection of properties and leases to ensure that the tenant's contractual obligations are being complied with.

RENT REVIEWS & LEASE RENEWALS
We are able to advise and assist in sensitive negotiations for either Landlords or Tenants in what can often be complex legal and valuation issues.

LANDLORD AND TENANT MATTERS
We are able to guide either party and offer advice on the many and varied matters which a commercial lease can raise e.g. break clauses, Licence for consent, Licence for alterations etc, repairing obligations and Schedules of Dilapidations / Condition.

RATING APPEALS
These are undertaken on behalf of an occupier of commercial property. We are able to advise initially on their viability and ultimately to submit and negotiate the appeals on behalf of clients. We have had considerable success in winning appeals not only locally but in Staffordshire and Lancashire.

EXPERT WITNESS REPORTS
Occasionally it is necessary for matters of dispute to be referred to Court or to an independent expert/arbitrator to make judgement on any number of property related matters. We have been involved in numerous cases of this nature in preparing valuable evidence for clients and attending Court.

TELECOMMUNICATION MAST SITES
We are able to offer advice on the conduct of leases and rent reviews etc. We have developed an archive of valuable rental evidence by acting on behalf of numerous Landlords throughout the region in negotiations with various national telecommunication companies.
